Farmers Solution to the climate Change: Agriculture is often identified as an emitter of greenhouse gases (GHGs) thus contributing to global warming. The three main GHGs in agriculture are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) from livestock digestion processes, manure and rice fields and nitrous oxide (N2O) released from fertilized soils. Farmers interact with the environment on a daily basis. Farmers need to adapt their agricultural practices to cope with the changes in weather patterns. Mental conservation and rehabilitation of existing water resources (cannels, natural lakes, ponds etc) is one way to recover water for agriculture and also can exploit rain water to keep for use in dry season and as a safe basin. However, Agriculture is not a problem, but as the main solution to poverty. CFAP is promoting the friendly agriculture and the safe food production with her members.
